Product Introduction
English name RADIOX GINSENG RUBRA
The source of this product is the dried roots of Panax ginseng C.A.Mey. , a cultivated plant in the Araliaceae family, commonly known as "round ginseng". In autumn, dig, wash, steam, and dry.
The main root is spindle shaped or cylindrical, measuring 3-10cm in length and 1-2cm in diameter. The surface is semi transparent, reddish brown, with occasional opaque dark yellow brown patches, with longitudinal grooves, wrinkles, and fine root marks, and intermittent indistinct ring lines on the upper part; There are 2-3 twisted and intersecting branches in the lower part, with bent roots or only remnants of roots. The rhizome (reed head) is 1-2cm long, with several concave shaped stem scars (reed bowl) on it, some with 1-2 intact or broken adventitious roots ({ding}). Hard and brittle in texture, with a flat cross-section and a keratinous appearance. The aroma is slightly fragrant and unique, with a sweet and slightly bitter taste.
